I met Chris from Glasgow in Hanoi at the end of last year. Sonja and I shared a 12 person dorm with Chris at Vietnam Backpacker Hostel where we also met Simon, a backpacker from London.
Chris, Sonja, Simon and I fondly refer to each other as “Team Winston” after the fun packed four days we spent together.
Chris is doing a world trip at the moment. He is completing Australia at the moment before continuing onto New Zealand, Fiji and America.
You can guess just how excited I was when I saw the following message come up on my Facebook feed…
When you are backpacking for extended periods of time an exciting prospect is getting to a normal house, unpacking your bag, doing some washing, chilling out, eating some home cooking and having a long shower without having to get dressed in the small, wet shower booth afterwards. You can guess just how excited Chris was…
I showed him around Brisbane, took him on the Citycat and we had lunch at Groove Train on the Riverside. (Great service, beautiful views and tasty pizza) – I am not too sure what is wrong with some of these “reviewers” on Urbanspoon but anyone who begins a review with “Me and my partner…” hmmmmm.
